How the collection came about
The collection didn't begin on paper and wasn't cut to a seasonal calendar. It started with a few patterns we wanted to wear ourselves, and grew by the pieces that were missing from it. Below is how one piece travels from a roll of cloth to you — and the photographs taken along the way.
The cloth
Everything starts with the material, not the pattern. We choose natural fibres, and the roll decides what is worth cutting from it at all.
The pattern
The first piece is always a trial. We wear it, find where it pulls and where it creases, and keep adjusting the pattern until it sits.
The sewing
A finished pattern goes into production one piece at a time — always for a particular order, in a particular size.
Checking and wrapping
Every piece passes through our hands before it is wrapped. What doesn't pass isn't sent.
